A groundbreaking initiative connecting players and clubs nationwide, elevating the sport to new heights
Affiliated clubs accumulate points by competing in sanctioned Silver, Gold and Premier level state competitions. Points are awarded based on placement and per entry.
The four highest-ranking clubs in each grade (Open, A, B, C & D) from different states or territories qualify for the ABL Club Championship Playoffs. Limit two clubs per state per grade are eligible to ensure regional representation.
Invitations are sent to qualifying clubs after the qualification period. Clubs must confirm participation within 48 hours and submit a team with at least 3 men and 3 women (maximum of 5 each).
The playoffs are held a week before the Sathio Group Australian Badminton Open in Nov 2025. Qualified clubs will compete in a pool (MS, WS, MD, WD & XD) format to determine the top club in each grade.
We are thrilled to introduce the ABL Club Championship Invitational, an exciting new pilot event designed by Wenshuo Qiao to bring together competitive badminton clubs for high-quality team competition. This initiative aims to connect players nationwide, foster community engagement, and elevate badminton’s profile at every level. It offers clubs a fresh opportunity to showcase their skills, build team spirit, and compete against top talent in a dynamic and professionally run environment.
While this event is not endorsed by Badminton Australia, it is independently organized to provide players and clubs with a unique and engaging competition experience. Our goal is to create a vibrant and inclusive championship that celebrates the passion and talent within the badminton community.
Join us for this inaugural event and be part of something special as we shape the future of club badminton competition!
