That’s a wrap for an action-packed March weekend of tournaments across NSW, VIC, and SA! With 186 unique clubs participating and nearly 1,000 players, the competition has never been fiercer. A total of 220 entries made this a thrilling few days of badminton!
Open Grade Update
Southern Tasmania Badminton Association (STBA) holds onto 4th place, with minimal shifts in club rankings. Meanwhile, the Premier event points system continues to dominate, making it tough for new club KBC—featuring the Rizky/Frenky combo—to make an immediate impact on the rankings.
A Grade Update
Ace Badminton is on the rise! After Round 6, they’ve overtaken Roketto, securing their spot on the ranking board. With the ABL Club Championship only inviting two clubs per state, the battle between Ace and Roketto for NSW’s third spot is set to be an intense race to the finish. South Australia has also made its presence felt, with two clubs in the top ranks. We’re excited to see these regional teams join us in the November event!
B Grade Update
Tasmania’s clubs have slipped in the rankings, with Ace and Alpha Badminton surpassing them. The biggest mover? Alpha Badminton, jumping six spots after Round 6! NSW clubs dominate the top 10, with five in contention, but only two will qualify for the finals. NBC is holding strong at #1, but the fight for #2 will be one to watch!
C Grade Update
South Australia’s Sturt Badminton leads the pack, while STBA has dropped three places to #4. Can they make a comeback in the upcoming rounds?
D Grade Update
No changes in D Grade, with NSW clubs holding their ground at the top. However, two Tasmania clubs are on track for finals qualification—unless a major ranking shift happens in the coming weeks.
What’s Next?
With WA, QLD, and NT set to launch their tournaments soon, expect some exciting shifts in club rankings! As we edge closer to the end-of-year finals, the competition is only going to heat up.
